A message to everyone affected by Hurricane Ian

Share

All of us at American Nurse Journal, the official journal of the American Nurses Association and HealthCom Media send our thoughts and prayers to everyone in harm’s way as Hurricane Ian approaches Florida. Weather is unpredictable, but human empathy and kindness are not. Many of us have experienced loss of life and property due to the extremes hurricanes can bring, including our Editor-in-Chief, Lillee Gelinas, DNP, RN, CPPS, FAAN, as her family lost much due to the wrath of Hurricane Katrina.

Stay strong, be prepared, and continue to be that beacon of light you are for your family, organization, and community. Your contributions to the profession of nursing are valued and greatly appreciated. Godspeed to all!
