In my work as an emergency department (ED) nurse, my colleagues and I routinely experience physical assaults from patients. At this point we question whether to even report these incidents because most of us feel that corrective measures won’t come from our reports. Does the American Nurses Association (ANA) provide resources to support both individual nurses and organizational strategies for dealing with workplace violence (WPV)?
