We are excited to share the latest updates and achievements from our vibrant nursing community in the Northeast Region. Here is a recap of recent highlights:

Nurses Day Proclamations: We are proud to announce that our efforts have resulted in the successful proclamation of Nurses Day in both Duval and Putnam counties this year. Under the theme “Nurses Make the Difference,” we celebrate the exceptional contributions of nurses who embody compassion and excellence across all healthcare settings.

Hill Day in Washington DC: Dr. Valerie Molina Morrison represented our region at Hill Day, where nurses from across the nation gathered to advocate for our top legislative and regulatory priorities. This underscores our commitment to influencing national healthcare policy.

UF Health Research Symposium: A standout event was UF Health’s Research Symposium led by Dr. Deborah Brabham, Clinical Nurse Scientist. The symposium provided a platform for sharing groundbreaking research and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Looking ahead, we have exciting suggestions for future meetings:

New Graduate Perspectives: Insights and support for new nurses entering the profession.

CE Offerings: Opportunities for continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Spotlighting Colleagues: Recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions of our members.

Well-being and Diversity: Discussions on equity, inclusion, diversity, and promoting well-being in our profession.

Trends in Healthcare: Addressing current issues shaping healthcare delivery.

These topics reflect our commitment to addressing crucial issues while fostering a supportive and collaborative community among nurses.

Stay Engaged: We invite you to join our bi-monthly Zoom calls to stay updated on these topics and more. Your participation is vital as we work together to advance nursing excellence and advocacy in our region.

Thank you for your continued dedication and contributions to the nursing profession. Together, we can make a significant impact on healthcare and patient outcomes in our communities.
