MNA District 9 Community Service Project
Every year, the MNA District 9 membership choose a local charity in one of the three counties (Charles, Calvert, and St Mary’s) for community service. This year, Charles County was chosen. Embracing the spirit of Christmas, the MNA District 9 membership decided to support the Charles County Children’s Aid Society Toy Drive as their community service project. The Children’s Aid Society, in partnership with the Charles County Department of Social Services, leads one of the county’s largest Christmas programs, providing assistance to over 2,000 children each year.
A call was sent out through email to the membership for collection or donations. Collection boxes were also placed in various working areas. The response was overwhelming, and the board members collected four large boxes full of toys for the event.
MNA District 9 Board would like to thank all who donated to make this season special for a child. There is nothing more reflective of the season than a child opening gifts on Christmas morning.
