My Own Health Report, a collaboration between seven research institutions with the goal of streamlining how healthcare providers communicate with patients about preventative health topics, has identified four lessons for conducting more efficient research in healthcare: engage relevant stakeholders early, be pragmatic rather than perfectionistic, use existing research networks, and delegate research tasks.
