As a perioperative nurse, I understand I should ensure the privacy and confidentiality of my patients and their information while providing care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-operative surgical phases and care settings. How can I uphold the values outlined in the Code of Ethics for Nurses (Code) with regard to advocating for patients’ rights and safety?
