According to the study “Patients Imaged Early During Admission Demonstrate Reduced Length of Hospital Stay: A Retrospective Cohort Study of Patients Undergoing Cross-Sectional Imaging,” the mean length of stay for patients was significantly lower in those who early received CT, MRI, or nuclear scintigraphy, particularly the day before or the day of admission.
