In April, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a final rule to ban almost all noncompete agreements, which prohibit an estimated 30 million workers—including nurses and other healthcare providers—from starting a new job or new company after they leave an employer. The new rule would ban nearly all new noncompete agreements and render most existing agreements unenforceable.
