New study focuses on wound healing mechanisms

A new study recently published in Nature Communications focuses on the “biomechanical properties of skin wounds.”

The researchers examined the body’s “repair program” and how it works to repair an injured area. Ultimately, the researchers aimed to better understand the properties of matrix deposition and the result of different alterations of these properties and how these alterations correlate to scar and fibrosis.
