“We developed the HART Program … with a vision of shifting from moral distress to moral resiliency.” That’s how the winners of the 2023 American Nurse Journal All-Pro Nursing Team Award described their standout project. Boston Children’s Hospital HART team designed their donor-funded program with the goal of creating a sustainable peer-to-peer, on-site resource to support the unit’s interprofessional staff and enhance a healthy workplace culture.
Other 2023 winners included an intensive care wounding program developed to address increased hospital-acquired pressure injuries and a chasing zero CAUTI team focused on targeted education. Both resulted in significantly reduced injury and infection.
ANJ conducts the annual All-Pro Nursing Team Award to provide nursing teams from any setting with the opportunity to describe projects focused on patient safety, improved outcomes, nurse wellness, staff retention, and more. Every year, we receive submissions that highlight nursing excellence, scientific rigor, empathetic patient care, and profound dedication to the profession.
